A Beautiful Life

Perhaps my favorite page!  Our lives must be filled with artistic things.  How else can we be truly happy, I ask?  Here is a page that is dedicated to the local arts!

Check out what is happening around town:

This is a website Maija told me about that I just checked out:

Gallery Stroll!
Every third Friday, multiple shops downtown sponsor local artists and put their works on display.  I have purchased a few pieces from this stroll and the art is very cool and reasonably priced.  Also, the businesses usually have free food and drink for those who "stroll".  This would be a lot of fun to do during the warmer months...art and exercise (Two birds- one stone).  Participation is free!!  Visit the website to view the locations participating.  Next stroll is April 15th.

BYU Carl Bloch display
I know I know, BY BLEEEHHHH!!!   But right now they have a wonderful display by the famous 19th Century Danish artist Carl Bloch.  His work is well known worldwide.  He mainly does religious depictions (hence why BYU snagged his stuff....luckies) and BYU has had forty of his works on lease from Denmark and Sweden.  If anyone is interested in taking a trip down south (it hurts to even type that), let me know (robyn).  Entrance is free...but you must reserve in advance.  This display runs through May 17th.
